Demo POS Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Demo POS app ("the app") handles information. The app is a point-of-sale (billing) app for shops.

Information we collect

• Login details: the email address of the shop or staff account, used to sign in through Firebase Authentication.
• Business data you enter: products, prices, customers, suppliers, expenses, orders and bills. This data is stored on the device and synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so the shop can use it on more than one counter.
• App usage data: basic, anonymous usage and crash information collected by Firebase Analytics to improve the app.

Device permissions

• Camera: used only to scan product barcodes. Images are not stored or uploaded.
• Nearby devices / Bluetooth: used only to connect to a Bluetooth receipt printer. The app does not use your location.
• Storage: used to save and open PDF reports and product images you choose.

How we use information

Information is used only to provide the app's billing, reporting and syncing features. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Sharing

Data is processed by Google Firebase as our service provider (Firebase privacy information). We do not share your data with anyone else, except when required by law.

Security and retention

Data is sent over encrypted connections and protected by account login. Data is kept while the shop account is active. To delete your account and its data, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.

Children

The app is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13.
